Movies of 2011! The Reviews of 41-45.

Here is the Usual Rundown. I watch 100 movies I haven't seen before per year. Then I rate them. Then I bother my few blog readers so that they can have something to read and laugh about for a few moments during their day. I rate on a 5 Scale. It's self explanatory. If you need more explanation please visit my previous blog posts to catch yourself up. I suggest reading that anyway. Fun Stuff.

(41) I'm Still Here (2009)
I would like to start this off by retitling this movie. I'm not watching. This was a ridiculous movie. I didn't finish it. The whole movie was you following around Joaquin Phoenix during his arrogant and self appreciative hours. Who is this guy. He makes one good movie and thinks he is on the same level as Hanks, Cruise, Pitt and Stewart. This guy made a movie that I didn't personally care for, his performance was carried by Reese Weatherspoon plus, Cash's family protested against his casting. Who is this guy? Apparently he is still here, being relevant and rapping terribly. I do realize this is a complete spoof and he wasn't actually going after a rapping career, but his overbearing arrogance was just absurd. It put a bad taste in my mouth. I am not talking about the arrogance that is actually shown in the film. I am talking about the underlying arrogance where he feels this spoof is the best thing the entertainment business has ever seen. Well, Mr. Phoenix you may "Still be Here," but trust me sir. With your loud language, bad filming and even worse since of importance. I am not still watching. 0 out of 5.

(42) Devil (2010)
M. Night Shyamalan has disappointed and impressed in the past. It seems he either hits or misses. Sometimes he even goes half and half. This is one of those Half and Half moments. This could have easily been one of the best movies he ever put out, but it isn't. The acting was actually pretty good and the Actors did everything any Actor could have done to carry this. So the good things about this overpower the bad. The Acting is good, they keep the movie up and make it intense and moving at a good fast pace. It seemed as if every second counted. The Premiss was outstanding. I love Demon stories and like to see how they play out. The bad part of this movie, unfortunately was delivery. The build up and approach was correct, but bad transitions and even worse editing takes away from the magic this film could have. This story and feel was great, I can't stress enough that this film could actually be terrifying. It could be one of the best horror films of our time, But it isn't. It could have been it just fell short. If you enjoy Horror films, this one has a great feel. 3 stabs in the dark out of 5

(43) Whip It (2009)
In Juno, I had a feeling about Ellen Page, In Inception it was more than just a feeling, In Whip It it was confirmed Ellen Page is DEAD SEXY. This Movie was packed full of Awesome People Drew Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Zoe Bell, and Jimmy Fallon. Juliette Lewis is in this. I don't care for her too much, Something about her reminds me of someone who lives in a trailer park and doesn't shower, and more concerned about her cigarettes than her 5 children of 5 different races. Now that I have pumped up this movie, lets talk about it. It's about a young woman coming into her own. It's full of laughs, hot chicks and funny moments. It's a riot. There are a lot of slow moments that build the characters, some of it is worth it some of it not. Lewis's character is a real douche, she pulls a douche off pretty well. Kristen Wiig is amazing, super sexy and funny. Where has she been?!?!?! She should be a superstar, I hope she becomes one soon. Ellen Page is her normal quirky self, she is like the Michael Cera of chicks, except she sometimes can be super Sexy and Super awkward. I just like her because she is funny, just like how I like Cera. No matter how many times he plays the same role, he is still really funny. Even if it gets old. The story is fun and inventive. It's not too over presumptuous about being one of the best movies, it sticks to its silliness even with the plot. The father was great, the mother was fun. I loved the premiss and the even greater delivery. Other than a little bit of boring where they develop plot, this movie is just constant giggles. 4 ow I bet that hurt out of 5.

(44) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Pt 2 (2011)
The Finale to a great 8 Film set. One of the most popular Franchises in History. I can't wait to watch the reboots which will come soon I am sure. No way do they leave this alone. Was this movie great. Lots of people don't think so. I admit some areas are more than inaccurate. Moments that had me closing the book walking to the bathroom for a nice hard cry in the sink, where just skimmed over and not made the big deal that they should have been. It was a little over dramatic at times. However, It doesn't mean that it wasn't a good close to this movie series. If it would have been perfect it wouldn't have been part of this Series. In my opinion the only perfect movie in this Series was pt. 1. Again that is just my opinion. I liked this movie. It was perfectly scary. The scenes at Hogwarts are fantastic, Well other than obvious things that should be there being left out. I like Neville making the 'Man Up' Call that was great. The Potter taking Voldemort off the side of the castle was obscene. Some of the other great things in this movie was action along with the battle at the castle. MRS. WEASLEY. enough said. Some of the best Potter moments of all time happen here. Overall as the last installment of this series. I have no choice but to give it a 5 out of 5, Only because it is a Potter movie and it wasn't a massive disappointment. At least not in my eyes. I can't wait for the Reboots.

(45) The True Story of Wrestlemania (2010)
There are some things that are important to me in my life, Some things I am a bit Fanatical about. Pro Wrestling is one of those things for me. I grew up watching it. I know trivia facts that no normal human being should know. Here's the thing. Netflix has decided to put a poo ton of Wrestling movies on. This has turned into me watching a poo ton of wrestling movies. Feel free to skip the reviews if you don't care about Pro Wrestling. Unless you want a good laugh at me geeking out about this stuff. They skipped a lot of wonderful moments like WWE always does. They focus these on Shawn Michaels and Other pet Projects and not the true builders of this company like Hogan, Hart and Austin. It sickens me. They did great background to the what happened to make Wrestlemania happen and great things that happened like guest that were there, movie stars, famous athletes and so on and so forth. A great History of, but they left some of the best moments out altogether. I guess it's an opinion thing. 4 out of 5.

Check back for more.

Movies of 2011! The Reviews of 31-40

So here is the deal. Every Year. I watch 100 movies I haven't seen before. Then I Rate them on a 0-5 scale. 0 it sucks. 5 you shouldn't miss it. Then I rant and rave about stuff that pisses me off about the movie or that I like about it, when and where and who I watched it with. Random notes about the actors.

(31) Megamind (2010)
I watched this in Spanish, So I don't exactly have any comments on Will Ferrel except the fact that I don't care for his stuff, so his usual influence will have no effect here. It's about a Villain who wins. Then gets bored when he doesn't have anyone to fight. He falls in love, tries to create a new hero. It was a fun Spin on the Whole Super hero Super Villain thing, lots of good laughs. awkward moments. Spanish. I liked it. It wasn't anything to jump up and scream about. It's O.K. So it is what it is A kids movie about Super Heroes and has a pretty good back story with surprises. However, its just that there is nothing that stands out as overly good or overly bad. The animation was lazy sometimes Dreamworks just doesn't polish stuff and that's the difference from Dreamworks to Disney. I can't comment on the Actors, because I did watch it in Spanish. So do to the Bad Animation and overall greyness of the movie I guess I'll give it a simple 2 eh's out of 5.

(32) Grown Ups (2010)
Sandler, Spade, James, Rock, Schneider. Should be good. Especially when you throw in Selma Hayek. However this was combining all their movies, if you have seen some of their movies. then you have heard all of these jokes. The Cabin in the woods with the family. I did think the scene with Scheiner's daughters were great. Jamie Chung was the hottest of the three. It was action packed with superstars, but that's every movie like this. It was childish. However, I am not blind to the fact that this is exactly the point, they are chilish movies meant for a certain age. It's not that overly bad, that i am going to give it a horrible score. Even though the jokes are predictable, the acting is redundant and the plot is weaker than blade of grass to a high powered lawnmower. It's completely watchable. So 2 Old ladies are funny when sexual out of 5.

(33) The Sorcerers Apprentice (2010)
Right off the bat I'm getting this off my chest. Nick Cage was Terrible. The effects less than great. I ran my mouth about how bad Dreamworks was and used Disney to compare good movies with then I ran across this movie and remembered every company has it's main movies they focus on and then they have their The Sorcerers Apprentice. I don't think the kid Jay Baruchel is any good. He just bugs me. The plot was like a teenage book, just not any good. I did like the car chase, and some of the heads up to Disney's animation the Sorcerers Apprentice. This was a lame attempt to take an animation classic with Mickey and turn it into an action flick. I'll give it a one point for the Car Chase One point for the fire, One point because it was short, One point for having Wizards. I'll take away 3 points just for having Nick Cage in it. 1 dancing broom out of 5.

(34) Taking Woodstock (2009)
I watched this because I love Demetri Martin's stand up he is really funny and i thought it would translate into this movie. The deal with this movie is simple. It never ends. Never. It's the story of how Woodstock started. Apparently it hasn't happened yet. Considering the movie was so long. It also was a gay pride parade of movies. The reasonable thing about this movie is that there were some good moments. Like how.... oh the helicopter scene was hilarious. Other than that. It's avoidable. 1 dirty hippie in a hole out of 5.

(35) Troll Hunter (2011)
This is a Norwegian film that Chris Zwart and Tom Lomax told me not to miss. So I called the guys up and they brought their people and we enjoyed the Hell out of this one. Anne even loved it. Jeremy John watched it with us. It was simply one of the best films I have seen in quite a while. It may have been the best movie of the year for me. It's scary, It's animation is terrific. The story line is so good. It's a brilliant plot. Bear Killings spawn a huge Government Conspiracy. This film is a must see. It's terrifying in places, funny in others and it's just so great. This movie is flawless. I know it doesn't sound amazing, but Troll Hunter is bar none one of the greatest films I have ever seen. Everyone enjoyed this one. 5 TROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL out of 5. Watch the Trailer.

Anne and I went on a Movie day. We saw a bunch of movies together. Anne picked some I picked some, We watched them all in one day. Those are fun days. The first movie.

(36) Bridesmaids (2011)
First movie of the day. It was hilarious. Do girls talk that way. It really was a Hangover with women in it. It was Raunchy. I liked it. Poop jokes and all. I laughed so hard I cried. some of the jokes are just over the top funny and everyone of the actresses pulls it off. Just perfectly. Perfectly. Kristin Wiig. FANTASTIC front lady. Maya Rudolph no one else in the world would ever be able to pull off the dress in the middle of the street like she did. Ellie Kemper from the office was also fantastic. However, Melissa McCarthy Stole. The. Show. She was amazing. From start to finish. She was like a dirty Guy Fieri. So wonderful all the way around. So good. Charming. Even the soundtrack was great. Jokes were well thought out and pulled off great. The movie was perfectly paced. It was just spot on. 5 penis jokes on a plane out of 5.

(37) X-Men Origins: First Class (2011)
This is movie number two of Anne and Brandon's Movie day out. Let me just put something out there. This movie with Marvel couldn't have been more inaccurate in the X men time line It couldn't have been more inaccurate than half of the movies Marvel puts out. From Emma Frost being the same age as Magneto, to Banchee and Havok I just don't get it at all. Not at all. Period. However, even with grave inaccuracies I am willing to look past it if they do a good job with the movie. Finally. Even with all the inaccuracies and an ugly Mystique They got this perfect. Kevin Bacon was amazing as Shaw. The Hellfire club was perfectly represented. The fights were perfectly displayed. Beast was well represented. James McAvory was Brilliant as the young Charles Xavier. The Young Magneto was great, thanks to a stellar performance of Michale Fassbender. The Plot line was actually ok. I enjoyed the Recruiting scenes where you got to me lots of mutants. Even Wolverine was in there with the only foul language in the entire movie. Thanks to Hugh Jackman for showing up in it. It pulled it together well. Even with the movies themselves not corroborating because Emma Frost was in both the last X men movies. In First Class which Time Line wise took place years and years before Wolverine Origins Emma was an Adult. In Wolverine Origins she was a Teenager. How does that work. Anyway. This movie was really good. It was paced well, I thought it was over a bit to quickly, Just Action packed. The turn to evil for Magneto was Cinematic Genius. 5 teenage mutant non ninja humans out of 5.

(38) Super 8 (2011)
Anne and I's third movie of the day. It did not disappoint. I had heard several put down's before I went to see it, but none of them stood up against it. I really enjoyed it. It was loveable. Scary. Plus, the kids in this were great. Who thought Elle Fanning would out do her sister. It was really quite well done. From the Monster's real goal to the rescue trips to the story telling. The unrelenting director in the film, not of the film, but in the film. The effects Breathtaking. The cinematography amazing. the Setting oh my the setting made it feel like i was in the time period watching a movie in that time period. Details were spot on wonderful to picture frames and wardrobe. So good. It did however have some slow spots that felt redundant and useless. It could have been cleaned up a little. Plus, making an 9 year old the attractive one in the film was a bit uncomfortable. By no means is it borderline pedophilia it's just that she was the object of the 7 and 8 year old boys, 7 and 8 year old boys are supposed to look at 9 year old girls, I just didn't want to. With all of that being said. Abrams hits on all cylinders again delivering a movie that I can't wait to watch with my kids. It really was this generation's E.T. So fun. The best part was there wasn't any Evil in this movie, just misunderstanding. 4 Spaceships in the sky out of 5.

(39) Green Lantern (2011)
As a Huge DC Comic fan. Just a Comic Fan in General I am extra Critical. However Tolerant as well. DC did just as much Wrong with this movie as they did Right. The Plot was great for a Green Lantern Movie. Hal Jordan was the obvious choice although a Guy Gardner movie should be made. Hal was the obvious choice. Reynolds pulled of the character too. I didn't hate him. Carol Ferris was well represented. OA was breathtaking. Kilowog and other Lanterns along with Sinestro looked great. There were a couple of things Wrong with the movie. Hammond was horrible. I'll get into Hammond later. I hated Parallax at least the way he was represented. Plus, little inaccuracies along the way with Parallax and Abin Sur. I am not going to gripe on that. Real GL fans already know my issue there. The Guardians looked terrible. I could have done a better job with them on a napkin. Glitches in the animation were obvious. Once on Oa when Hal first goes on to fly by himself there is a grey area that is blinking. Now with my actual problems and praises. Fight Scenes were well done, the Ring constructs looked great. The space ships good. The feel of the movie was fantastic it felt like it was going to get better, then it didn't. Hammond was too much, let me rephrase. There was too much Hector Hammond. Hector Hammond is a well respected and great Green Lantern Villain, he deserved to be in this movie. He is what ruined the movie for me. Well one of the Three things. So this is why I am going to be hard on this movie. They spent a good 30-45 minutes building a Hector Hammond Character. They introduced his dad. His problems with his father, his problems in life in general. they went through a massive character dramatization and build up and revenge and why he did the things he did and then. In Seconds. pushed him aside like he wasn't important. Why waste that much of a movie on a character that you are going to throw aside like nothing actually happened. Plus, His character had massive inaccuracies. I'm not talking Deadpool in Wolverine origins inaccuracies, but massive inaccuracies nonetheless. So Hammond is Problem number one. The next problem is a personal one. I didn't like the way the Green Lantern Looked. It was too shiny. they could have pulled off a classic suit feel and just gave it a green aura around it. That would have been way way better and probably cost a lot less. The Lantern itself didn't look like a lantern, the whole look was disappointing. The Third and Final problem I had with the movie is that Sinestro was a sub character. SINESTRO!!!!!!! If they wanted to do this movie properly they should have just stuck with the original deal and made Sinestro the Villain everyone would have loved that. I have a few small praises. Very small things that I really liked. The color of Parallax was yellow, subtle but Fantastic. Space looked really good. Lanterns in the back of scenes and Lanterns around the large group gathering were actual characters. Attention to little detail was spectacular. So with all the above aforementioned details I give this a 3 Blackest night out 5 brightest day.

(40) Straight Jacket (2007)
I like my Anime. I had heard this was good. I don't remember who said it was great, but its about monsters, and chemicals, betrayal and so on and so on. You know Anime stuff. The Mechs were great. Mechs fighting Monsters with Magic. Sign me right the Hell up. Voicing was good. Animation was great. Blood everywhere. gore raining down from the sprinklers like water during a fire. 4 out of 5. Sometimes you just need some Blood pouring out of Monsters that Rip peoples eyes out and use them as bracelets.

The Next 60 eventually.

Movies of 2011! The Reviews of 26-30.

Basically this is the deal. Every year I watch 100 movies that I haven't seen before. Then I entertain myself by writing silly reviews based on a 0-5 scale. That's it. I have done my first 25 in previous blogs. The next 5 are in this blog. Enjoy. Please Comment it would be nice of you to comment.

(26) Skyline (2002)
This is the Deal the movie looked awesome. Anne and I were both pumped to see this. TURK is in this movie!!! TURK automatic point so we are at a 1 at least. Here's the plot synapse from the trailer. Aliens invade earth (I'm Listening) They automatically blow up stuff (I'm Listening) Then they start using Tractor type beams to HARVEST humans (I'm LISTENING) So this looks and seems like isn't going to be just simply awesome. But.......... We just kept waiting for awesome to happen but the Characters (except Turk) were just Utter Douche bags. I was routing for the Aliens whom looked very similar to the ones from the Matrix. They kinda looked like the Reepers from The Matrix mated with the Aliens from the recent War of Worlds (Tom Cruise). They weren't great. Not Scary. Big though. I didn't like the girls they were badly placed and the characters just weren't right. Brittany Daniel whom has one of my favorite moments in That 70's Show, and was just breathtaking hot in that episode, Is not good in this. No one was (Except Turk). OH YEAH They totally Kill Turk off early so you are left routing for Eric Balfour who plays a Douchebag loser. Balfour isn't, the Character is. The entire character list was terrible, you have to at least like the characters to route for them to not be decapitated. Side note I'm watching Conan right now and Everlast was on, He got old and fat, just like me. The only cool part of this is when you first see Humans being lifted and harvested into the ships, Other than that it was not good. It's like someone had a Visual and decided to film that then try and fit a story around it. It didn't work. I'll give it a point for Turk being in it. A point for the Movie Poster. A point for the Human Harvesting. Then I'll Take away a point for Killing Turk To Early. So 2 Hey Turk out of 5.

(27) No Strings Attached (2010)
Ashton Kutcher is Hilarious there I said it. He just charms and laughs and winks and I think of Kelso and then I remember this is a different thing, but man he is awesome. In this.. Well he was no different. Natalie Portman. Star Wars. Black Swan. Other Movies. All good. In this she is really sexual. That's a good thing. not to mention the 3d glasses section may just be the funniest part in all movies ever. It's a fun Romantic Comedy. The Room mates were really funny. The Story was just interesting enough to not bore me to death. It's getting Light out and I am so tired but just cannot sleep. Tomorrow is going to suck. Unlike this movie which did not suck. I do realize that two movies exactly the same came out the same way. With Mila Kunis. Who is also Hot and Also from that 70's Show. I haven't seen it at this point. So, this movie moved at a great pace, the characters were lovable and you don't feel like anyone is an ass except for the Main guy's dad. Screw his dad old bastard has no idea about the guy code. It was great. 4 WOW Natalie Portman in her skimmy's out of 5

(28) Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)
I must first get some stuff off my chest about these movies. Some of my friends who watch movies regularly hate these films. Will not go to see them, because they saw one of the other films and didn't like it. I don't think they understand what the movies are meant to be. These are made by Disney, and they don't care if you like them because Depp is Silly and the movie is absurd. I have another question to pose. What children's movie isn't. Why is it that everything has to be breathtakingly serious and dark and who cares if Captain Jack is a little annoying, he is supposed to be that's the character. These same people say I don't want to watch this because Depp Plays the Captain Jack character in all of his movies. These are the same people that go out in droves to see actors like I don't know, Michael Cera, Jesse Eisenburg, Mark Wahlburg, and Jason Statham. They all play the exact same character. EXACT same. However, it works for all of the people. It works for Depp, when he dives into the well that is Captain Jack, it's entertaining just like when Cera is uncomfortable, and when Eisenburg copies Cera and When Wahlburg is tough by surprise and Statham is sexy by force. These people make money by being the same character, I can go on and on with the exact same people lets not get into Comedy because Sandler, Reynolds and Especially Ferrell and Carell who are two of the top grossing Comedy people out there do the same character over and over. Carell sometimes steps outside his box. But Not Ferrell. What I am trying to get across is neglecting to watch a movie series because Depp revisits this Jack character is a crappy reason to skip these movies Especially since you are a huge Hippocrates because they watch and love Cera and Ferrell. some of these same people also won't watch the Simpsons because they are immoral, but don't miss an episode of Family Guy or Southpark. Yeah because that makes since. Anyway on to the actual review of this movie.

Anne and I were extremely pumped for this movie. I like the Pirate movies they are a lot of fun. Plus this one has Penelope Cruz who is pretty amazing. Whats not to like about Bringing Blackbeard into this movie series. Plus, there is a lot of Barbosa in this film and he is a great character. The Mermaids were perfectly terrifying and the pirates were hilarious. This movie had everything I expected from the Pirates movies. Fun, Sword fighting, sleight of hand, a Silly monkey and sexual tension. This even through in some surprise betrayal and some great moments with the army and standoffs. There were some epic moments where they actually surprised me with the way out they took. It was a really fun adventure movie, with great jokes, great scares and Yes Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Eye make up and all. It was really well done. It did get a bit boring in the middle, but it picked up quickly. It was great. I hope they make another one, I will go see it. 4 yo ho ho and a bottle of rum's out of 5.

(29) Nowhere Boy (2010)
I was excited about this movie. It is the story of how The Beatles got started. This is basically a John Lennon story. It's quite good. Check out the Trailer. It was fun, It was Brilliant. It was John Lennon. I liked it a lot. I of course am a Beatles fan. No Fanatic, but I think there music is the best of the best. I won't go on a rant on how some of my friends don't like their music, because lets face it, eventually they will. I remember not liking the Beatles in High School. I grew out of that and really started to appreciate that band not for who they were but what they produced. This is a great story told in a classy fashion. If you are a Beatles fan you can't miss this. If you are a fan of great touching movies. You can't miss this. This is one of the most touching stories Told by a movie that I saw all year long. This was just a good quality film. It did die out about 3/4ths of the way through. That really took away from the greatness of this film. It could have been chopped down a little. This however wasn't as bad as even I make it out to sound. It's a great movie. 4 strawberry fields forever out of 5.

(30) Unstoppable (2010)
Every now and then it's just time for a good Thrill ride. This movie got me excited because of my families tie to the rail road. I like trains, this is a thrill ride with trains. Chris Pine I like, who doesn't like Denzel, plus Rosario Dawson a cult film favorite. Gotta love her. This movie did start out a little slow. However, like most thrill rides it built up steam and just roared to the finish. I like Thrill movies. Thrill movies have to have several things to work. They have to be moderately believable. This starts with a mistake, and idiots mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. Thrill movies have to be fast, this one started slow but got fast moving quickly. It has to have heroes. It has two. It has to have a bad guy. It gave us Corporate America. It has to have a tragedy in wake. How about a train carrying Explosive chemicals toward a town with an Elementary school near the tracks. Yeah that works. Just like this movie works. It gives you every single thing you need from a thrill movie. All of it. So I give it all the points. Is it a Art filled amazing film that will make you cry and move you to change your life. NO it won't, but was it a thrill a minute ride that got your adrenaline running. Yes it did. A solid 5 out of 5.

That's up to 30. So check back later for the next few.

Movies of 2011! The Reviews of 21-25

Breakdown, Basically you should read stuff from the past few blogs to get the feel for the reviews.

(21) Rubber (2011)
This Movie I got really excited for when I saw this on Claire's Facebook. God Bless Claire McDonell and her exquisite taste. I immediately called Dustin and Dane and Chris and we got together and watched this amazing film. Why would they make a movie about a tire going around killing people. No Reason. SO GOOD. Basically This movie is a tip of the hat to bad horror movies. If you don't love the horror genre you probably don't want to see this. Another good thing about this movie was the overall absurdness, it goes beyond what you would think it was. The Filming was great, the plot non existing, the lines so bad they were spectacular. This movie is exactly what I look for in movies. This is just a rubber tire the rubber tire goes around and blows up peoples MINDS. It like basically mind sticky grenades you. So all the policemen run around looking for a tire. Every scene is amazing. It has great one liners, fantastic moments of strife. It has sexy women, great "bad" acting. Plus, a nasty surprise in the middle to drive the movie forward. A solid 5 whitewash out of 5.

(22) Ninjas vs. Aliens (2010)
We decided to follow Rubber up with another movie. Dustin said Hey Let's watch Ninjas vs. Aliens its amazing. Dustin Was Wrong. I will admit. Aliens visiting Japan during the age of the Ninja sounds just amazing as amazing can possibly get. This was not it. The special effects were so bad they were actually bad. I just gave a movie about a car tire mentally blowing peoples heads off with mental power a 5 out of 5. This is basically a total crapper. I couldn't even recommend it for watching aliens getting cut up by ninjas. oh, wait that part was pretty cool. Don't watch the whole thing. Use the fast forward button. it's the only way to go. 1 out of 5.

(23)Eat, Pray, Love (2010)
Anne had to set through (in a separate room for the last two movies) So I felt obligated to join her for this one plus it had one awesome thing going for it. Javier Bardem, I dare you not to love him in everything. I mean have you seen no country for old men. A Mazing. Anyway, This was based on a book that Anne read. She really liked the book and wanted to watch the movie, So she did. I joined her, she restarted it. I watched it with her. I thought Roberts was really good. I thought she pulled off the character well, at least Anne said she did. I don't really want to go into this movie Like I did Scott Pilgram in the the previous blog because lets face it, I didn't read the book, I'll let Anne tell you more in her blog. I really liked Javier in this and the whole time throughout the movie, I laughed I cried. Imagine that I Cried. The Story was brilliant, it was a new twist on the whole Romantic Comedy storyboard. I liked the Guru and the fun parts that actually fun and the sad parts that are actually sad. The rooftop got me. It was really quite the fun movie. I suggest it if you are in a bad mood. It's pretty fun. I liked it quite a bit. I don't have a lot of bad stuff to say about this film. I don't have anything particularly great to say about it either. So Movies generally start off at 0. So this one definitely doesn't loose any points and it moves forward points on Story, Setting, Casting, and I'll add an extra one on because the movie flowed really well and it didn't drag out, which happens to be my thing. Movies should have the right kind of flow. This one went really well. So It gets a 4 Brandon Drooling over Javier out of 5.

(24) Green Hornet (2010)
I had heard nothing but bad things about this movie. It was terrible, the effects were horrendous, it wasn't funny. These people were wrong. Very Wrong. I have learned to realize that I should stop trusting people's opinions on movies, especially my friends, because my tastes are varied. This was great. I thought Seth Rogen is flawless, Jay Chou is great. I loved the opening of the beer bottles and the whole flower in the latte was great. Other than that, The action was quite great. The Movie was Hilarious. I think the thing about this movie that people didn't like is they went in expecting Batman "dark" Super hero movie, that is not what this movie was meant to be. Not at all. It was great it was a comedy with action based hero stuff behind it. I liked the plot. I liked the action. I didn't like the stray from characters. The Green Hornet is a classic character, The movie didn't stray as much as I thought it was going to, but the story line could have been done better. I wish Kevin Smith would have written it, he wrote a ton of comics for the character and could have made it epic instead of just another run of the mill comedy. There were lots of great gags, Rogan was really funny. In the end it was a great movie, not exactly stand outtish but it was good in general. So therefore I think I'll give it 3 flying beer caps out of 5. Rent it, it's worth it I promise.

(25) Thor (2011)
I was pumped about this movie. Wicked Pumped. It was really good. It was surprisingly funny. Hemsworth was fantastic. I liked the nod to Hawkeye, the lead up to the avengers is going great, I think it's actually going to be good. The Sacrifice at the end was great and the Hammer thing on Loki was brilliant. This movie did everything I wanted it to. It covered Thor as the arrogant little boy, It covered Loki's character traits and how the reader (watcher) actually feels bad for the guy even though he is a complete douche. It didn't have enchantress, but that is what Thor 2 is for. THERE BETTER BE A THOR 2!!!!. Some of the best comedy in a Super hero film to date. lines like "does he need Mouth to Mouth, because I totally know CPR" and "Thank You I'll have another" Plus the Car parts and the subtle hints to how sexy Hemsworth is. Then you have the Hammer scenes with Rednecks trying to pull it out with their trucks. So good. Not to mention the great action. How Beast was the Destroyer people. He totally reaked havoc and ..... Destroyed stuff. Subtle Nods to He-Man throughout was appreciated. Odin couldn't have been cast better, and he looked like Norse God should look. Then you add onto all of that the fact that they did an amazing job with Jotunheim and Asgard man they looked great. The Fight at Jotunheim gave me the Thor I wanted to see, then later Thor gives up a good fight with Loki. It down played how powerful Thor is. Which is to be expected. Thor is going to get down played even more in the Avengers, because we all know good and well if you read the comics, He owns the rest of them. I loved one of the newer Thor Story lines where he just man handles Tony right out of the Iron Man Armour. So good. This Movie made me happy, But Surprisingly as good as it was, It isn't the best Super Hero Movie of the Year. There are more to come Young ones. More to Come. Thor gets a 5 Manly piece of Turkey Leg and a mug of Ale out of 5.

What was the Best Super Hero Movie? What Will the Next five movies have? More Crazyness like Rubber? Or Lamesauce.

Movies of 2011! The Reviews of 16-20

A quick summary of what this is all about. I watch 100 new movies a year. This is no massive feat or achievement its something I do for fun. I like movies and these aren't new releases these are just movies I have not seen, some are new releases some are from the past. All are fun. I have a 0-5 rating scale. 0 being awful, 5 being great. Again, this is just for fun so read it for fun. I try not to give spoilers. Enough of this recap stuff on with the reviews.

(16) Scott Pilgram vs. The World. (2010)
Scott Pilgram vs the World is one of the Best Comic Book series to ever be published. Some of the most fun and in depth characters are part of this series. Now saying that I will have to admit that I was a bit worried when they announced the movie. Yes Michael Cera is fantastic, He however is not what I envisioned Scott Pilgram to be. So I was Skeptical going in. I have a few complaints. One major complaint was they wasted valuable screen time on no important stuff to the movie. Some of the more important moments were represented, but the whole of the movie left me wanting for a fuller story. Some of the story was repressed and flown through when some of moments were drug out. I liked the overall feel. The Casting was great. I thought everyone but Cera was cast correctly. I thought Ramona Flowers was amazing. Mary Elisabeth Winstead is So amazing hot. Anne and I have had talks about her. Also Aubrey Plaza was in this. So the two most attractive females in Show Biz were in this movie. The real question here is Was the Movie true to the Comic? Yes. It was. I felt like it was done really well, I liked Chris Evans casting he was perfect, I expected a Ryan Reynolds but Evans is a Ryan Reynolds type guy. I loved him in the Losers and Captain America. The overall feel and flow of the movie was great. I believed the Ramona and Scott love connection. It was overall a fantastic rendition of the Comic. Cera did not pull of Scotts Character. Cera plays the same character over and over and over and over. Sometimes he is great and Cera fits a part. Cera is no Scott Pilgram. So It loses a point for that. The rest of the cast a crew were great. the acting other than Cera was spot on true to character and the bands were crazy good. 4 out of 5

(17) The Horde (2010)

I love Zombie Movies. I love Zombie movies with Gangsta's. I love Zombie Movies with Awkward people in Awkward situations. This is a Zombie Movie surrounded with mystique and weirdness. It's also French. A French Zombie Movie, I'm on board. So were some of my friends as we gathered around the screen for a French Zombie moment. We weren't super let down. It wasn't amazing. The Plot was this band of renegades storms a building full of Drug Dealers and Whores to take down a drug dealer that killed a family member of theirs. This of course goes all crazy when the Zombies show up. The Renegades and the Gangsters join forces to take out Zombie after Zombie. They run into this crazy old kook which is Dustin Minnick in 30 years and This old guy has tons of weapons and Ammo. They then proceed to try and rape a Zombie chick. Never thought I would see that, then the Zombies had everyone corned and one of the main guys just goes bananas with machines guns, grenades and axes and chaos got chaotic. The End howver takes away a point for Lameness, although you don't really see it coming. A quick Note Madea from Crossroads Recommended it. It was a good Zombie Flick, not exactly Zombieland or anything, but it was solid 3 grrrraaaagurgleaaarrraa out of 5. I suggest not skipping this if you are a Zombie fan.

(18) All Star Superman (2011)
This was a movie make of probably my favorite superman comic to ever be published. I didn't know if it would get the point across of Grant Morrison's epic Superman story. I won't ruin anything for you but it is a real issue for Superman to overcome. He basically gets cancer from all the sun he soaks in to gain his power. He then comes into contact with a lot of vile villains like Luthor and the Black Sun. There are some really good moments and it really shows Superman in the light He has always deserved. Superman is one of those characters who you can't do to much to this character without destroying him. The movie did follow the comic well, and I liked the voices James Denton is a great voice for the Man of Steel. It was good if you are a Superman fan it's a must see, If you aren't into to Super Heroes then this is not for you. Not at all. This is an in depth look at the Man of Steel in an alternate world with lots of nods to Superman's past if you don't geek out over Superman, you won't like this it will have a lot of confusing stuff in it. but for us Superman fans out there. It's a 5 out of 5.

(19) Sucker Punch (2011)
Anne and went to see this the release weekend. I was kind of excited to see this. Sexy girls, skimpy clothing, Kitanas, Mechs, Huge Guns, Dragons, Stripping. What is not to love. Anne hated it. because it had sexy girls, stripping, Huge Guns and Mechs. The Dragon She liked. I liked it OK I thought the casting could have been done better. Emily Browning looked uncomfortable as the main character. I hated the ending. The casting was just terrible. Really bad. Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish Sucked in it really bad the only one I actually like was the one going into it that I was Skeptical about. Vanessa Hudgens was wonderful. It was a thrill a minute was awesome action scenes but I just couldn't get over the bad acting the moments that were supposed to be sexy and just weren't because the characters weren't sexy. The Institution was a sad deal it was a massively sad story that you knew the story wasn't real. It was in the background of the background story and the story in the background wasn't really there at all. So confusing and the Movie made it worse. However, with all of this being said it was watchable so a 3 wait was that supposed to be sexy out of 5

(20) 50 Greatest WWE Superstars of All Time (2008)

First off I want to apologize for my obsession. I have a bit of Pro Wrestling Obsession I know a lot about it, I grew up watching it and there will be tons of Pro Wrestling Movies on these lists. I will not geek out too much about these. I will Say this List was utter BULLCRAP. If you don't have any Idea about Pro Wrestling I bet you can Name at least 4 or 5 Wrestlers. I asked my wife who does not endorse my obsession to name 5 real quick. Stone Cold Steve Austin Was first, Big John Stud, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and John Cena were the ones she named. I asked her who is the Biggest Pro Wrestler of all Time Her Response, Hulk Hogan. On this list Hogan was a dismal 14 which was disrespectful. you know who didn't even make it. Rob Van Dam, Sabu and other ground breaking ECW stars. No Sting even though this covered WCW. I thought this was super Stupid and made me so Angry. The Number 1. Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels does belong in the top ten but in the later Half. This was a Stupid List made by Bitter, disrespectful people in a massive business. I like Piper and Flair, but in the real World no one did anything bigger Than Hulk Hogan. NOBODY. To have him at Number 14 behind the likes of Sgt. Slaughter and Shawn Michaels and Booker T. Is absurd. WWE makes me furious sometimes. This was completely disrespectful to those who carried that company on their back for years. Like Macho Man and Hogan. This is a 0 out of 5. Just for its sick inaccuracy.

That's it for those few. Check back later for more.
