Ok, if you don't know whats happening, just scroll down to the last post! It's not that hard, And yes I'm that lazy.
(51) Walled In (2009)
Anne was on a horror movie kick and was watching terrible horror movies for a few days. We decided to watch this one. It has a crazy plot, something that could honestly work in real life. Russia is scary. It's basically about a women who is going to tear down a building where this mass murderer was said to be a foreman and he hid his victims in the walls. Hence the name Walled in. It had a few creepy parts I mean a massive condemned building has potential to freak you right out. It had the creepy little kid from Running Scared in it. It uh.... Sucked, not even a little good. It had potential to be scary and the base story wasn't bad. That's about all the good I have to mention. Don't waste your time. 1 out of 5.
(52) A-Team (2010)
I was super Pumped from this from the first time I heard Rampage Jackson Whistle the Theme in the Trailer. I am going to go ahead and address the critical problem with this film that people seem to have. Yes, Mr. T is still alive. So why Didn't they get Mr. T. to play B.A.? Because, HE IS OLD!!!! I mean The Character B.A. is not older than Hannibal, Hannibal is supposed to the oldest not B.A.! So was I upset that Mr. T wasn't in it. No. I wasn't. Mr. T. Sorry buddy, but years have passed, you should have gotten over yourself and made a Cameo like the rest of the original A-team. So did I like Rampage Jackson as B.A.? Let's see? B.A. mostly stands for Bad ass. When I think Bad Ass, I think Fighter. When I think Fighter I think UFC. Wait.... holy crap Rampage Jackson was in the UFC? Well, I guess he fits the character. I loved him as B.A.!!! It was amazing. I thought, this needs to be extremely over the top action film with insanely over the top stunts, explosions, scenarios, wrecks, and bombs in order for this to be anything like the television show. Guess what. They Flew a Tank. They blew up planes, helicopters, truck, ships, boats, and everything in-between. If you are in the mood for a good action flick, which sometimes I am. Then buy this movie, don't mess around Buy it for later enjoyment. 5 massive explosions out of 5.
(53) Halo Legends (2009)
I love Anime, I love Video games so when I heard about this anime take on one of my favorite video game franchises I was excited. I have played every Halo game with the exception of Halo wars, which I just didn't want to play. I wasn't alone on that. A lot of my friends who play Halo skipped that one. Ok, There were Seven stories in the Halo world, I thought the Japanese one with the Covenant was the best. I think this was really great, I thought some of it were a little long winded, but overall I really liked it. The different animation styles along with the stories within the world of Halo, I liked it. It makes me want to read the books. It was very good. If you like Anime, you will like it. If you like Halo you will like it. If you are crazy over Halo, you will have criticism to share. Fanatics are fanatics and I am that way on Comic book stuff. I do think that if you don't like Anime and you don't like Halo you will not like Halo Legends. So for the long scenes that weren't entertaining I take off a point, but otherwise I liked it. 4 out of 5.
(54) The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009)
Denzel Washington and John Travolta, together. Should be awesome right. Well.... Travolta just seemed like the exact same character as he has played in the past. It wasn't that great. It was mildly intense at times, but when a rat makes the best scene in the movie, I don't know. The ending was drop dead stupid. I thought the movie could have been amazing, if they would have gave you an ending that you didn't want to happen, but when it comes down to it, it was just a good action flick, not a great one. I'll give it a point each for John and Denzel, throw in the rat and you get a 3 out of 5.
(55) Shrek: Forever After. (2010)
Anne and I went to see this on our anniversary in Greensboro N.C. we went down to see Jared Arny and spend some time with him While his wife Scarlett and kids were away. We went to this movie the day before meeting up with Jared. We did not see the 3 d version. I will get my feeling for Shrek out of the way. I loved the first one, Liked the second one and this one looked great. Oh.. did I miss one, no ok. Walt Dohrn was amazing!!! Amazing!! I loved the witches I laughed! I thought the Rumpelstiltskin thing was exactly what this series needed. Who doesn't want to forget the 3rd Shrek movie it was terrible. This movie gave the series a well needed fresh breath. It couldn't go out on that terrible 3rd one. So this one had lots of good comedy. Good classic shrek moments, I liked the new take on old characters, Puss in boots as a fatty was great, I thought the ogre war was a little much though. All and All it gave fans of the series what they really needed. Closure. 4 out of 5.
(56) The Book of Eli (2009)
I watched the trailer and flipped out. Then I figured out that Mila Kunis is in it. Then I flipped out again. I do love me some Kunis. Mila in blue jeans and getting shot at. I'll Sign up. I did sign up. For all you women reading this, Anne bought me this movie and hated it. Not because of Mila, but because she doesn't like doomsday movies. I thought the twist at the end was amazing. I loved re-watching it and picking up on it. Really cool. I loved the whole movie. Gary Oldman was amazing as always. I really thought he pulled out the stops for this one. It was a super creepy movie, really let you know exactly how humans are going to be when the end of the planet happens. Evil shall inherit the earth. It's going to be tough at the end. I thought the movie was good from the beginning to the end. Well, almost from beginning to end the cat thing..sad.. :-{ One thing I noticed was the soundtrack, What an outstanding soundtrack. Way good movie. A huge rush at times, massive rush. The chainsaw WOW. 5 detached limbs out of 5.
(57) It's complicated (2009)
This one, guess what Anne picked it out. I didn't hate it. I like Meryl Streep, she is funny. Alec Baldwin won me over in 30 rock Steve Martin is a golden ticket to laughter. However, It was of course John Krasinski that stole the show. Who doesn't love them some Jim. I dare you not to love him. I DARE YOU. Best part of the whole movie was when Jim figured out the mom and dad were doing it again. I thought Lake Bell didn't look hot in this, sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't. This time not so much. The story line was silly. I like silly. If you are looking for a nice romantic comedy to make you bust out laughing this just might be your ticket. "It's good to be home." So why did this movie keep going, There were awkward moments that were not necessary. Horrible character development. Plot holes the size of poor rednecks Televisions in their trailer that smells like old ramen and cat piss. This movie was alright, not terrible. If you are looking for something substantial, skip it. 3 out of 5.
(58) Love happens (2009)
Yes, I watched two romantic comedies in a row. I will say this and mean it. Jennifer Aniston is not believable as someone who is cool. She just needs to stop playing the polly characters. She doesn't pull them off. I like the quirky character and Aniston is just to up tight and will always be the chick who hated flare to me. Aaron Eckhart needs to play a different character as well, He is the same guy here as he was in meet Bill. It's like they took Bill and Polly and put them together in a movie. It worked. I liked it alright, I'll take away a point for the actor's in the movie not looking for more inspiration. Sasha Alexander was very good, she is always very good. I don't know what else she is in, but holy crap she was amazing and will be forever. I liked the whole motivational speaker bit, the whole words on the wall. The bird. I liked that he was a tragic character even though it was a bit repetitive. Martin Sheen did well in this, made it a bit more heart gripping than it was with out him. The character i meant. A solid 3 out of 5.
(59) Wolfman (2010)
I was pumped for this one the trailer looked great, I watched it over and over. However, It didn't go well. I thought the transition from man to wolf was terrible. It was totally predictable. Hopkins was ok, Del Toro annoys me in this, Emily Blunt was even worse, I just wanted her character to get chopped in half. This movie started out a 5, as it went on it lost several points and ended at a 2 out of 5. I couldn't forget that the beginning was ok. So I had to give it points for the beginning, the end, I cared more about the house than I did the life of the characters, That's not a good thing.
(60) A perfect Getaway (2009)
Anne picked this one out as well, I thought it was going to be good. I hate that Timothy Olyphant isn't a household name. HE IS AMAZING, in everything he is in. I really like him and his movies. He is on Justified, good show. Steve Zahn is hilarious. Mill Jovovich is Resident Evil. Chris Hemsworth is going to be Thor. I thought It was Ok. Anne called the twist way before it happened. It was a bit obvious after the helicopter, but I didn't quite believe it. Anne was right. It was a good movie though, I liked it overall, nothing special to say about it though. It's kind of up in the air if I should recommend it or not, I say probably not. 3 out of 5.

Half way there!! 41-50 Movies of 2010!
Ok, So this is an ongoing post, If this is your first one to read I'll break it down quickly for you. I watched 100 movies that I had never scene before in 2010. I Blog about them and rate them on a simple 1-5 scale. 1 is terrible don't even waste your time 2 means you can feel free to waste your time but I don't recommend it. 3 is a simple straight forward movie you should see it if you want to. 4 you should rent it watch it right now kind of deal. 5 means buy it right now. So if a movie gets a 3-5 it means it was tolerable. otherwise its iffy. Now a Zero is a possible score. So you should figure to just not ever watch it if it's a Zero. At this point I have rated 40 movies. They are in back posts. The current Post will cover 41-50. Those of you who have been reading these posts. First off Thank You! I appreciate you taking the time to read these. Secondly, On with the Movies!!!
(41) Clash of The Titans (2010)
I Really thought this movie looked good. I will say straight out that I did enjoy the 1980's claymation movie and really did throughly enjoy this one. I didn't see it in 3D because people said that they saw it in 3D and it was horrible. So, I skipped out on the 3D once again. Anne and I loved this. It's a great thrill ride. It didn't manage the charm of the original, but some of the battle scenes were as epic as they come. The story line followed the original loosely. The Love story wasn't as developed, the Gods were a bit cheesy. I didn't like the Glowing effect, It was overkill. They pulled off some of the stuff really well, I loved the Krakken. I thought the scorpions were done really well. The acting wasn't half bad. Sam Worthington I Didn't like at all. I really feel like he was turning Perseus into a U.S. Marine. I don't like that at all. Perseus is of course an epic hero, but he starts out a little lost and vague not hoo-yahing all over the place. I just don't think Perseus would have been an american douche. Ralph Fiennes of course was AMAZING!! With all of the short comings of the main character Worthington, I still really did like this movie. I thought even though they missed a few important character details and left out a few things that made the movie great, which each mistake they hit something awesome. Like the subtle nod to the original by showing the Golden Owl. I really think they did a good job modernizing this film. It was a very good showing. I liked the Medusa Scene the best. I give it a solid 4 out of 5.
(42) 12 Monkeys (1995)
I watched this because it's always been one of those films I wanted to watch and just never got around too. It made me realize, Again, how much I like Brad Pitt and how good of an Actor he really is despite his reputation. He was a crazy person in this movie, Along with Bruce Willis the two made for a good combination. It was dated. Extremely dated and it didn't hold up well. The story could be redone and played out correctly with updated tech that would make more sense. The things it lead too weren't very good overall. It wasn't exactly translated well over the 15 years since it was released. With this taking a major effect on the movie and plot it's hard to honestly say I could even pay attention to the movie overall. I found myself wondering around folding clothes and doing things like that instead of watching the film. Now this being said, I have a pretty high toleration for that type of thing and normally don't get bothered by massive cell phones and out of date ideas of throwing over the government. I do have to say the overall plot was solid and the acting was really good. I can't recommend this movie. Although the overall plot was solid, it doesn't seem that way throughout and even after the movie ends you look back and can see where things just don't play out, Unlike other Willis Twist ending movies This one just doesn't make sense and It just wasn't good. I don't want to pin it on something, but I will I think it's the director Terry Gilliam's fault that it sucked. If you want to see some good Pitt and Willis Action check it out. Otherwise it's a 2 out of 5.
(43) Made (2001)
Jon Favereau is the director and that lead me to watching this. I mean he did Iron Man, I loved him in... Everything he does, So I should like this, Right.... Right, I did like it. Vince Vaughn is still a young punk trying to make it in the movie biz. This is in my opinion his breakout role. I thought he really came into his own here. Famke Janssen is in this as a stripper/whore and may I say I love FAMKE JANSSEN. Ever since the X-Men I thought she was amazing, the more I see her in the more I like her. So..... Yeah. Basic goof ball plot with goof ball mistakes that make for goof ball making up for those mistakes. It goes downhill further before it comes uphill for the characters, A great movie to just sit and watch because you have nothing else to do. It's funny, It's painful, It's nutty. I liked it. Very laughable, not exactly the Hangover funny not even American Pie funny, just a simple normal funny it didn't ring any bells as the best Favereau or Vaughn movie, but it's worth watching just to see Famke Dance around! 4 out of 5
(44) Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009)
I loved the first one. LOVED THE FIRST ONE!! This one, I didn't like as much. I didn't like the new Rocco, I mean Rocco is Rocco not Romeo, Although he wasn't a horrible character. You know who was Rita, Rita....wait....wait....Sorry, I'm a Dexter Fan. Eunice, The new Cop character that took the place of William Dafoe. Ok, now that I have mentioned her lets talk about her. People from the TV show Dexter, have some kind of disease. Why did she use that HORRIFIC accent. The Same thing happened in Gamer with Michael C. Hall. Why do you have to ruin a movie with your terrible accents, Eunice was a terrible character. terrible. just terrible. The plot. I'm not sure what it was or even it it mattered. It is a Boondock Saints movie, so It's basically lets kill the bad guys in hilarious fashion, which happened, several times. I love Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus. They couldn't ever be replaced, They are this series. I mean " Let's do some gratuitous violence." Seriously no other actors can pull this off and make it funny yet awesome. Its just so sad that the lack of an plot driver and the really bad replacements for staples in the first movie ruined it enough for me not to really recommend it, I recommend the crap out of the first one, but this one, you could pass it up. It's totally watchable, I mean if you have seen the first one in the double digits you should watch this one. 3 out 5
(45) The Losers (2010)
I don't normally do this, but This movie is deserving of it. So, Here's the trailer too. Ok now that, that's out of the way. This might be in my top 3 Movies I saw All YEAR LONG. I have watched it with friends and they all say it's ok, well no offense people, but I have no idea what's wrong with you. It was better than Iron Man, better than Inception, better than the A team, etc. etc. etc. etc. It was great, I laughed until I cried. I saw rocket launchers, deadly chicks, a car chase scene with a school bus, sniper rifle action, sweet t-shirts, a baby being born, sexy chicks, knife fights, great music, helicopter MADNESS, Come on what the heck more do you need! Plot, Hello, It's a great plot, played by great actors and actresses, it played out well. The Don't stop Believing part had me embarrassed in the theater, because I was laughing so hard I was crying. So yes sir, I do like the angle of the dangle and this movie gets a well deserved 5 out of 5, I don't want to brag on it too much, but if you haven't seen it, you. are. missing. out. 5 out of 5.
(46) Defendor (2009)
Here's a story about a guy who goes out and becomes a super hero, No not Kick Ass, DEFENDOR. Just like his name isn't Kick Ass, He doesn't kick any. I do like the Bee's. The Bee's are funny. It's really sad, I mean really sad. exceptionally sad. I understand this movie and love Woody Harrelson on a consistent basis, So I had high expectations going in. It was, well it was ok. Not good. Harrelson was awesome as usual. I didn't like the way the story went, it could have gone a little different route. I didn't like the girl character played by Kat Dennings, I liked her in Nick and Norah's infinite Playlist, but not here. Not at all here. I even liked her in the house bunny, not here though. She was a horrible character, not the written character Kat's actual portrayal just wasn't believable. Then you tie in the whole fact that the Harrelson character is mentally challenged and you just want him to stop doing this, but he doesn't and you cheer for him even though oh yeah, man i bet that hurt. It just didn't sit well with me. It was funny at times, and touching at times too. But, all the Woody in the world couldn't save this from being a 2 out of 5.
(47) Iron Man 2 (2010)
I loved the first one. I think John Favereau really gets into these films, and really enjoys making them. This is why they are so fun. Iron Man 2 didn’t disappoint, but it was sad because I had already seen the first one and some of the thing that WOW’ed in the first one, were just normal in this one. I felt like I had seen it at times. Other than that I loved it. I really liked Andy Rourke as Whiplash, I liked Scarlett Johanesson whipping Favereau’s butt in the ring then in the normal fighting scenes she was amazing, if anything we didn’t get enough of her. I liked the new Roadie. I think replacing that actor with an actual legitimate actor Don Cheadle was a good call. I know the other actor was pissed, but whatever Don Cheadle was amazing as roadie where Terrence Howard was just an actor. I liked the epic Suitcase Suit, The Drunk thing was funny, and very on Character for Tony Stark. Some of the action was over the top, but It was Iron Man and that made it ok. The Jokes were there but not as much, which was sad. I love the nods to Upcoming Movies, Like The Avengers. Captain America’s Sheild showed up mid way through, then if you stay through the credits, Boom You get Thor’s Hammer, I was so pumped. I thought it was spot on what I expected from this movie, I expected it to not be as good as the first one, because the first one was just amazing, but this one was just a small, very small, step below it. It wasn’t a let down by any means, it also didn’t exceed any expectations, which makes it just spot on what I wanted. Which I have to admit I’m ok with. I also will give this a 5 out of 5. Which It Deserves even with it's small shortcomings.
(48) The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009)
Terry Gilliam Brings Us a Wonderful Adventure. The plot is about a traveling circus a mysterious man and his past, and the circus's success mixed in with the fact that it really is magic! Things that you see and the way they are presented made me feel like a kid. I thought Holy Crap, that would be amazing. The Acting is Just, Wow does Christopher Plummer Nail Dr. Parnassus! Lily Cole is beautiful in this, Breathtaking, Astonishingly beautiful, Not in a sexy way, just in a coming of Age way. This isn't really a coming of age movie, It is loosely but that is a side plot. Then you have Tony Played By Heath Ledger, This Character You are not sure what is going on. The entire time until the end you aren't sure if you he is good, if he is really hurt, or if he is bad and a liar. It's a very mysterious movie that has you asking lots of questions. The Cinematography is amazing. I love the different Tony's who happen to be Johnny Depp, Jude Law,and Colin Farrell all top notch actors playing small roles. The movie is put together well, and is a Surprising 5 out of 5
(49) Brothers (2009)
This is a typical family torn apart movie. ****SPOILERS****DONT BLAME ME**** One Brother named Sam the other Tommy. Sam is a success Tommy a failure. Stop me if you have heard this one. The Push in your face how Amazing Sam is, How bad Tommy is. Then you have something Bad happen. Sam is in the Military, he gets Captured. The Military thinks he is dead. The Wife and the Brother don't do anything crazy, but Tommy through the grief of loosing his brother, builds her a kitchen, gets drunk with her, and kisses her, she kisses back and that's it. Sam is alive, tortured and eventually escapes. He comes home to a Family who believed him dead, Sam finds out and Here is where I am throughly impressed with Tobey Maguire. He has come a long way since dancing in the street with his symbiotic suit under his clothes. Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman Impress here too, but not like Maguire, His performance body and and soul here is crazy good. However, The story wasn't that interesting, the writing was at times painful, the visuals were ok for this, I didn't like the war scenes. I didn't like the way the story went, I didn't like a few of the more intense scenes they were good, dramatic FOR SURE, The Plot just was very cookie cutter and depressing. 3 out of 5, You should watch it if you wanted to see it.
(50) A nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
I figured I had never scene any of these Slasher films I should give them a chance. I didn't really want to watch any Friday the 13th, but Nightmare of Elm Street looked ok, So I watched It. Johnny Depp was Super Young in this one. I'm not sure if It was worth all the sequels, It was ok by horror standards. I mean you have to keep in mind that it was made in the early 80's and the effects were a bit cheesy. They did the best with what they had. It was impressive by that standards. The acting was terrible, but It's a slasher film and that's ok by me. I love the Nightmare Concept, so I guess as far as being able to create sequels it would be able come up with new twists so I guess as long as people watch them, they will keep coming. That's not a bad thing. I mean I can see the potential in this being good. The first one I guess was the experimental one, I don't know. It wasn't that great. I thought it was slow, not scary at all. It just wasn't good. I did like Depps Death. 2 out of 5.
(41) Clash of The Titans (2010)
I Really thought this movie looked good. I will say straight out that I did enjoy the 1980's claymation movie and really did throughly enjoy this one.
2 out of 5.

My 100 movies in 2010. 36-40
This is a short Post So that I can start doing 10 at a time. Again if you don't know what this is simply look at the explanation in movies 1-10.
(36) Shutter Island (2010)
Shutter Island was not one of those movies I was super duper excited to see, But it did look creepy. Anne and I went to see this in B.V. we like the theater here. Small, cheap and fun. The movie was Ok. It wasn't as great as some people make it out to be. The mystery, I guess was intriguing, but Anne had the whole thing figured out like she had seen it before. I wasn't that clever I guess, I was still kind of surprised by the twist. I won't spoil anything so feel free to read on. It was a super creepy movie. You never did quite know what was going to happen next, You might have figured out the overall plot, but the twist and turns along the way of getting to the end were worth the ride. It's not that impressive overall, Leonardo actually didn't do that well in this, which was a surprise he normally does really well. The fact that this was a Martin Scorsese film made it's expectations higher than a normal film. It was ok, It wasn't that great. Should you watch it, probably. It wasn't that horrible and the plot was really great, the delivery was ok, the length was intolerable and made it a bit painful. The acting was loose at times and you could almost feel the people looking off set for direction. The Movie did have a descent flow. It was boring then boom excitment then back to boring then you were confused rinse repeat and you get a 3 out 5.
(37) Being John Malkovich (1999)
I had heard so many good things about this. John Cusak was the main character, well aside from John Malkovich. This movie was inventive, fun and strange, normally what I like in movies. The plot however, lacked interest. I found myself not giving a hoot about the character Cusak played. I really like the idea behind the movie and John Malkovich was amazing in this. I really didn't like Cameron Diaz in this. She and John made this movie loose points. With the points being 5 long, you loose one for John Cusak, loose one for casting Cameron Diaz and loose one for the ruining the plot with a lame and creepy love connection you're only left with 2 points out of 5 left.
(38) Dear Zachary: A letter to a Son about his Father (2008)
This movie was one of the most touching movies I have ever seen in my entire life. It tells a story about A father who was murdered. Its made by the Fathers best friend Kurt Kuenne, he pretty much did everything for the film. He traveled around, got footage from news channels and permission to tape at different places. For those of you who have seen this. You will know how wonderfully well it is done, It is a tragic story. One of the most Tragic ever told. It really shows the harsh failings of a government. HARSH is the key word here. Don't go and buy it. It is a one time watch. If you watch this do not ruin anything, the response is emotional. I cried my eyes out and I was not alone, Shana, Justan and Anne who watched it with me were all crying. It was amazing. Not the story, the way it was told. It was a solid 5 out of 5. WATCH THIS!
(39) Bender's Game (2008)
Ok, I don't want to be too blunt here. It's Futurama in a long movie. So. Lets just make this plane and simple for those of you who don't really know what this is about. 5 out of 5. Next.
(40) The Road (2009)
I read this book and loved it. I really like Cormac McCarthy. He is the same person who wrote No Country for Old Men. Anne didn't like this, However, I really did, I thought it was perfect, by the book. It was Dark, and let you in on the fact that humanity is horrible. It was crazy. I really liked how the world was presented. The hopelessness that was wrapped in every scene, Including the only happy scene in the whole movie which involves a coke. It was seriously dark and something that was just as moving as a romantic comedy. I liked that is stuck by the book almost scene by scene. It was great. Viggo Mortensen was great, Charlize Theron was perfectly awful as usually. It was violent, it was Sad, It was a 5 out of 5.
there you go. Ill post again soon.

2010 movies 26-35
Ok This is the third post of this nature. If you are wondering what's going on. Just read the previous post and all will be revealed.
(26) Dorkness rising (2008)
Ok Re-read the movie title. Yes, it says "Dork"ness Rising. It was amazing. It's about a bunch of Dungeon and Dragons geeks, well... Playing Dungeon and Dragons. The goal is to have an epic experience because they have grown bored of the normal stuff. So the Main character person sets out to write the best Dungeon experience ever. They totally cheat their way through everything. There is one point where they have to wait a number of turns out for an amazing spell to be cast. They used all the dead bodies of a character that kept dying as cover until the spell came around. You totally can't do that. The one character that kept dying had the power of persuasiveness and kept persuading the women they come across in the game to sleep with him. It was really funny it could be in the middle of the battle and he just leaves with a villager. It's really funny. It's a terrible Terrible Terrible Plot, which makes it awesome! the worse the plot in these types of films the better it is in the long run. This one character who is a guy, has his in game character as a girl, and he is dressed up in a sexy red dress it's really funny. Consistently funny, but ridiculous. This totally made me laugh out loud several hundred times it was just so retarded that I loved it. Sometimes movies just hit the right mixture of horrible, bad, and stupid and it comes out cool. 5 out of 5.
(27) Planet Hulk (2010)
Planet Hulk pissed me off a little at the beginning. Marvel takes way too many liberties with their story lines in the animation movies. They however, have amazing story lines in the comics to begin with. I don't understand why you would take a perfectly compelling story that could be carbon copied to fit into a movie and rewrite it and make it worse. It sucks that marvel does this on a consistent basis. occasionally Marvel gets movies correct. Hulk VS for example is amazing. As far as this movie goes they took liberties with it and at first I didn't like it, but it grew on me. I love the Thor universe Tie in's. I thought it was a great addition to the story. The animation was good and solid. The fight scenes were great. The fantastic part of the movie was the overall story that was translated well from the comic. This is the first in a long line of Marvel Animations that actually got it right. It was really good a solid story amongst a long line of crap that Marvel puts out. It does pull away from the comic like all the rest do, however it does a better job of changing the story to have an ending. I really wanted to see some hardcore Hulk smash on the earth, but it didn't get into that. Planet Hulk was a good solid story that did a good job of changing around the story. I would still like Marvel to stop the bull crap of ruining their own stories. They won't because they are money media whores, That is the difference between DC and Marvel. I still give this a 5 out of 5, but it's not nearly as good as what it could have been. I should give it a 1, but it was good. Beta Ray Bill and Thor FTW.
(28) Alice In Wonderland (2010)
Anne really wanted to see this and had a wallpaper on her computer for this movie long before it was going to come out. It was a little borderline obsessive as far as her excitement for it. It's ok. I like it When Anne gets excited for something. So of course we went opening weekend for the film. It wasn't as packed as I expected. The movie was offered in 3D, but I'm not on the band wagon for that. We went to see it in traditional. I liked it. Lots of positive. I liked how modern and creepy they made it. perfect casting. Well, except for one person. Alice. I didn't like the person they cast as Alice. She came off a bit to huffy and puffy like an American teenager. I could just read the words "Whatever" and "Well, Duh" pouring out of her forehead. It was distracting when your heroine is a little snot and you kind of want the dragon to win instead. I liked how they made heads larger and bodies smaller and cats appear. The magic in the Movie and the story was captured. Depp was O.K. in this, but there were points when I thought for sure he was going to say a witty line about how he didn't have enough Rum or he was after a treasure. Depp tends to struggle with some parts that have him acting foolishly, He can't separate fool from Sparrow, It is understandable, annoying but understandable. Not that Depp is limited, because he isn't. I love him If he is in a movie I pretty much want to watch it. I mean look at his track record its awesome. Ok, back to Alice and Wonderland. I liked the mix in of Alice through the looking glass and the original Alice in Wonderland. The story change up and refresher was much needed. How many times can you tell a story without making a fresh change on the subject, I mean seriously. Now, that I have said some things about the movie, I will address the one thing most people seem to have a lot of trouble with. The Dance at the end. I will put the plainly as possible for those of you who have feelings towards this. It is not out of the Mad Hatter's character for him to preform a dance. Alice in Wonderland although dark and very heavily drug related is a children's story. In Children's stories, the characters are silly, not deep, silly, crazy and dare I say it MAD! Oh, did I offend you. The guys name implies that he has gone bonkers, he is a lunatic. To think that dancing is above a lunatic is to think that killing is above a solider. Dancing is not something that a mad person is going to do regularly, nor does he probably want to do it. Same with solider's and the killing. Occasionally however a solider has to pull the trigger and a crazy man has to dance. Bottom line. I liked the dance. I liked the way the movie felt and looked. I liked the story. I liked the cast. I didn't like Alice and Hathaway bugged me the way her hand stayed in the air. Although in character. The movie looses a point simply because I don't think Alice is a pro Jonas brothers stuck up little twit. I don't think Alice would use the terms "Whatevs" or "frenimes" which she does with her body language all through this movie. Next time don't cast a Hilton wannabe for a beloved character in your movie. However, just one point off for that. 4 out of 5.
(29) Gamer (2009)
Ok, I mean I really thought this one was going to be Good. I love Gerard Butler it's no lie, and no surprise to those of you have been reading this movie blog. I also Love Dexter which has Michael C. Hall in it, who is the Start of Dexter. So with these two power house actors I thought it was going to be awesome. I was Wrong. Again. The concept at first look is thought to be ok, pretty cool I guess, but it was carried out wrong. They had these cool actors, sexy actresses and awesome concept and they decided to make it raunchy instead of good. They could have gotten the point across without all of the crap they put in. There was no point in all of the constant crappy and badly put together scenes, It was like watching a skin-a-max at time. except Skin-a-max movie's spend their budget wiser. The action scenes aren't horrible, they aren't good either. The explosions are badly timed. I mean if you have enough money to put a good explosion in your film, get the timing right people. Terrible acting on the part of Michael C. Hall, Worst Texas accent of all time. I have seen better in "B" movies it seriously gave me nightmares. I thought for sure people everywhere are going to make horrible Texan Accents it was scary. Terrible Movie. I'll give it a 1 just for Gerard. He didn't do half bad. But you can't polish a turd.
(30) District 9 (2009)
This movie didn't look very good in the previews. I wasn't really looking forward to it, Anne and I both watched it just because I got it in from Netflix and I did kind of want to see it. It intrigued me. It was heart wrenching. I didn't expect that. Humans are assholes. seriously how mean and cryptic could humans get. We better not act this way if something happens like this in the future. Pathetic. You know we will though. Most people in charge are so scared to death of something changing that they will do whatever it takes to keep it kosher. So freaking crazy. The whole parent thing with the aliens was heart breaking. The main character was a douche and well acted by the actor Sharlto Copley. The story was very compelling and well told. The town was very believable, I liked how they did everything in the town and how they made is so trashy and intense. I really have to say it was one of the best Alien movies that I have ever seen. It wasn't action packed, I expected it to be. I mean there were scenes that made you say WOAH, but it wasn't that much action. It was perfectly balanced. I give it a 5 out of 5.
(31) 300 vs. 1 million (2007)
This was simply a documentary of the real story about the Spartan 300. It was good. Nothing special. It was by the History Channel. It was about an 1 and a half hours, nothing important, nothing that great or stand out performance. It does count as a movie so I put it in here. I like Documentaries they entertain me throughly. It won't be that meaningful to watch if you didn't see 300 or read 300. I think it was one of the best movies put out a few years ago, and it completely blew my mind and does blow my mind each and every time I watch it. yes, I know Gerard Butler is in it. I might be gay for him, I'm not sure. The documentary was good. It wasn't great, nothing new for me, I am a History major, and read some Greek things in college so I knew all that was said ahead of time. I like how they laid out the battle plan and told the stories of the rest of the Greeks and how exactly the Persians came to be in Greek. Very interesting and unbelievable for those of you who don't know all of that little details. Persian history is amazing. I give the Documentary of the 300 a 3 out of 5.
(32) The Evil Dead (1981)
For a Movie that's this old, I was surprised at how scary it was. They totally used the main people and the unknown to scare the crap out of you. The people were super evil. I liked the way everyone died. I like the way the zombies were actual zombies and didn't move very fast. The survivor got away very funny. The movie was ok, If you haven't seen it, you probably should. It wasn't that great and it wasn't horrible either. Nothing that important to say. 3 out 5. I liked it. It just doesn't have a whole lot of things that could have been improved. They did amazing with what they had in that time, everything was really believable and looked great when you keep that in mind. It just is what it is. And thats a pretty dang good Zombie flick and a solid 3 out of 5.
(33) The Clash of the Titans (1981)
I saw this primarily because Justan said it was awesome and that there was a remake about to come out. I have to say I dug the clamation, I liked the overall feel of the movie. I thought the story was great. I thought the action was good. Keep in mind of course that this was made almost 30 years ago. I liked it a whole heck of a lot. It was pretty successful when it came out and remains a classic. I really thought it deserved all of the credit that it got. I thought it actually held up well. The plot was fantastic, I was scared a few times, I laughed a few times. The golden Owl was awesome. The Gods were correctly portrayed. I wish however they made them a little more differential they looked really similar. Other than that I give it a 4 out of 5. I really liked it a lot.
(34) Apocalypse Now (1979)
This movie is on most critics top ten of all time list. This movie is critically acclaimed as the quintessential movie from the 70's. So with all of this being said about it I had to watch it. Marlon Brando Stole the Show, like he normally does. I would agree that this was his best performance. I really liked the feel of the movie. Martin Sheen was also very good in it. The acting was top notched all the way through, one of the best acted movies I have ever seen. This is where my praise ends. I didn't like the extremely strong anti-solider feel. I understand anti-solider movies and don't mind them overall, but there happens to be a line. A line in between making a point that the military makes mistakes and needs to be re-built and being obnoxious and disrespectful to those who gave their lives in a war. This war was the Vietnam war, and not exactly the most historically respected war at least politically. This movie was borderline making fun of the war and very disgustfully done. The movie was star packed, Robert Duvall, Harrison Ford, Laurence Fishbourne, and Dennis Hopper. I really liked the feel and way you were always scared for the characters and how it re-enforced that feeling throughout. However, The plot made zero sense. What was the point, I mean I know you could follow the drive of the movie and why they were going so deep into the jungle, but wasn't a solid story and not well thought out. It never quite gets to the explanation of how minds were lost, and why they were lost. It just wants us to except that the characters were nutty without giving us a reason why they were nutty. This really didn't go over well with me. The acting was great, story was pretty terrible. Not horrible just terrible. You should check it out if you like war movies, You might have a different experience than I did. I personally give it a 3 out 5 which is a good score overall, it was done well. It just wasn't that great of a story.
(35) The Invention of Lying (2009)
This movie I watched primarily with Cody and Sara Beth. I finished later on, I am weird I have to finish stuff once I start. So I watched this in two part. The first part being the biggest part of the movie. It made me laugh at first and I really thought it was going to be amazing. Then it turned. Instead of saying this movie is amazing and I really thing it should be the one of the best of the year it turned into me saying DO NOT WATCH THIS. I do love Jennifer Gardner and she and Jonah Hill give this movie the only 2 points that it gets. The first half an hour was alright so if you need to watch it turn it off after that first half hour. It went downhill really really fast. Ricky Gervais directed and was the main character. I don't like him. I didn't like the original office that much, I don't think he can act. I don't think he is funny. After this movie I am convinced He is going to Hell. He is a Demon. Terrible little man is he. 2 out 5.
Stay tuned for the next batch of movies.
(27) Planet Hulk (2010)
Planet Hulk pissed me off a little at the beginning. Marvel takes way too many liberties with their story lines in the animation movies. I don't understand why you would take a perfectly compelling story that could be carbon copied to fit into a movie and rewrite it and make it worse.
